Mele Kalikimaka me ka Hau'oli Makahiki Hou (Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in Hawaiian)!
This holiday season sent the Tune and Flaten families to Hawaii for Christmas, a first for us in warm weather. We had a wonderful trip that was full of drinking, hiking canyons, snorkling, laying beachside, drinking, paddleboarding and most of all enjoying being with family.

Watching the Packers game on Christmas day (3pm) bellied up to the bar!
Hiking Waimea Canyon
Rewarding ourselves after the hike with some Hawaiian shaved ice-
Then a swim in the ocean to cool off
At a secluded beach called "Hideaways" and seeing an endangured Monk Seal soaking in the rays for a few hours before heading back out into the ocean.
