My Team Needs a Miracle

This morning I woke up to hearing a car driving down the street and a slushing sound coming out from beneath its tires. I looked over at Scott and said, "it must be raining" followed by me rolling over and opening up the curtains and seeing that the ground is white. "Dear there is snow on the ground, today is supposed to be the first day of spring." I got ready for work an headed out side and the back porch was a tad slippery which brings me to today's post.

For those of you that know Scott and I, know what we are house divided this time of year for a particular sport. The sport where one can glide on ice very nicely, as opposed to me this morning in ballet flats walking to the car. Scott is a Buffalo Sabres fan and I a New Jersey Devils fan. If you have been following hockey this year you would agree that my team had no shot for the playoffs in the first half of the year. Yep my team pretty much sucked, 9-22-2 so the Head Coach John MacLean, and former Devil, was fired on Dec 23rd. Since then the Devils have been on a comeback to now being 34-34-4...not too shabby huh? Well it kind of is when you only have 10 games left and are currently 7 points behind your Husband's team who is sitting in 8th place (the cut off for the playoffs). I am hoping for a miracle here for these last 10 games and that there are some good upsets in the current Top 8 in their last few games too to help up make it above that red line.

What will be great though is in 2 weeks Scott and I are headed down south to North Carolina for the weekend and on that Sunday we are headed to see Buffalo vs. Carolina (Currently 8th vs. 9th and only 3 points standing between them). That will be a great game! Until then please cheer on those NJ Devils!
